Honda VFR400 NC30 Paint

Looking for some advice if possible.
I have a NC30 that I have owned for nearly 17 years. Its always been maintained mechanically, but visually has always looked a bit rough due to a couple of tumbles!
At the moment I have a set of fairing on painted satin black. I do however have a full set of OEM fairings, but these require painting.
The problem im faced with is the bikes not worth a great deal as it stands, and I will never sell it. So do I bite the bullet and spend circa £800 to have them painted, or do I buy Chinese copies in the correct colours for around £350?
Im swinging more towards the Chinese as I only want the bike to look visually better. Im not really bothered about everything being OEM.
If anyone has any information on the Chinese copies or experience in fitting them, I would be great full to hear.
