I bought a new Shoei Qwest helmet yesterday, and in the box was a Pinlock screen device. Never seen one before, but something strikes me as totally wrong here......... laughlaugh

Do you normally get a freebie one with a new helmet?

Other than it obviously being the wrong one, it is worth getting the right one, do they work?

First thing that happened when I wore the helmet, first breath, the screen fogged up, even when riding. So, something needs doing.

Thanks, I'll pop back and change it. No way can I ride with the visor steaming like it does.

There are a couple of vents in the helmet, not sure if they make any difference, not done more than a dozen miles in it yet.

Strange, but I went out for a ride today again, 30 miles or so, and my visor never steamed up at all. Weather and temp seems the same as yesterday.

My Bandit runs rough below 2000rpm. Idles smoothly, but at real low revs it is horrible...... best to keep,it wound up a bit I guess? biggrin

It is th wrong pinlock that is a C49 pinlock for a Hornet DS, he needs one for a CW-1 visor then it should fit fine.
The packing says CNS-2 Shoei.

It is actually clipped in, just overlaps, so no seal, no matter which way you turn it, and is loose and floppy.

I'll pop back to the shop on the morrow and make inquiries.

Took it back and got it changed today, they couldn't work out why the wrong one was in the box.

I shall take mine for a test drive soon. Even the guy in the shop says they are brilliant.

Is it true, the plastic actually absorbs moisture?

And it does warn against using it at night, no idea why that might be, it doesn't look tinted or dark at all?

Sure I guess unless you've been biking for years esp commuting all weather all year round too you're unlikely to.
