So, I have my test ride booked for 10:30am tomorrow. Went up to have a nose around it and fiddle with its buttons today and it's TINY. It even feels smaller than the 600RR, yet still manages to maintain pretty much the same riding position as my current 2014 Fireblade.

The biggest problem is that the SP can't take a pillion because of the non-structural tail section, whereas the RR can, as you'd expect.

Pretty sure I'm going to walk away from there tomorrow having placed an order but I really don't know whether it'll be SP or RR.

On the move, the riding position is very similar to the old Blade. It's by no means uncomfortable. I was pleasantly surprised smile

The right choice, sports bikes are crap with pillions anyway, the Sp looks the bks.
Thanks smile

Yeah, in the showroom they had the new RR next to the old one. The old one looks so FAT.

Some quick pics from Sunday. Yes, thankfully you can change the background image in the dash from that god awful brushed steel look thing.

Well now you've told me all that, I'm going to cancel my order. I didn't realise when I test rode it that it was so old and awful.

"I've bought a new bike! Really excited!"
"But it's OLD and all these bikes you could've bought are NEW!"
"Do you get invited to many parties?"
"No frown"

My biggest problem now is that all of my kit is black and fluorescent yellow. That really isn't going to work well with the red, white and blue colour scheme of the SP.

I know what you're thinking and yeah, you're totally right.

Awwww, come on, that's took the wind right out of my sail.
You can say it anyway if it'd make you feel better? That's my gift to you smile

that you need to shop for a smaller slip on exhaust and tail tidy as well ? smile
I haven't changed either of those on my last 4 bikes, probably not likely to start now smile

Well there is that.

I just don't see the point, really. Noisy exhausts annoy people and the only condition I'd see my tail tidy whilst riding is if I'm crashing, which would probably be least of my concerns at that precise moment. smile
