I absolutely love those Thruxton's and I'm smitten by two of them and struggling to work out which to go for, will be used as a bike for those sunny days out in the UK (haha, whenever they are)...

Thruxton TFC or Thruxton FE?

It's worth adding if I had a TFC I'd be putting the standard clip-on's onto the bike, read loads of thread where people have done this and it does not affect the front fairing but gives a less aggressive riding position.

That’s the problem, I’ve only ever been able to sit on one (RS version) can’t test ride a FE (can only order one) and there’s no test rides available of the one or two TFC’s I’ve seen available.

Actually had one garage say to me it’s too much off a faff to allow test rides, they have to take out insurance, get the bike ready for the test and also don’t want to put miles on them…

Tricky one. On the one hand the FE would be a brand new bike and there’s something about being the only owner, and the Competition green is a beautiful colour!

On the other hand the TFC is probably more special and will probably hold its value better in the future. I’ve not seen a Thruxton TFC but did have a good look over a Bobber TFC a while ago and it was stunning, really stunning ??

On balance, I’d buy a TFC but only if it was genuinely immaculate.
I have seen a nice TFC but it doesn't have the backpack as the owner wants to keep it? I was hoping for a full TFC package on the off chance I'd sell it in the future, it would be easier to have the full set, or am I just overthinking it?
