Could go either way. (Pedrosa won't win it.)

At the last GP, all of the Ducatis had higher speed trap figures than Rossi, confirming that the Ducati IS a faster bike than Rossi's, but the genius of Valentino may yet see him gain another title.
All good for the bike race fans.

I will be attending 3 more rounds this year, so am looking forward to that like mad.

Tend to agree, but one spill against a win changes things big-time.

Erm, no. Rossi's bike posted the second highest top speed of 267.5 only beaten by Sylvain Guintoli's 269.7. Stoner's GP8 was behind Rossi's M1, Elias was 10th and Melandri's 14th. Not once did Stoner's bike post a higher top than Rossi's.

The average of speed trap figures showed Rossi's average to be 5.5kmh faster than Stoner.
ERM, NO.

Sachsenring figures.

Stoner -177.171

Elias - 176.612

Melandri - 175.680

Guintoli - 175.059

ROSSI - 173.631

That the Yamaha is slower than the Ducati is more than obvious to anyone who watches racing regularly, but there's the proof.

Stoner is the best of the latest breed (and i'd love to be half as quick as him), but Rossi is the main man, as Marc B. would have said.

For the moment C.S. is more Blackburn than Man Utd, but let's see how good he is over how many years.

Great though he is, Stoner does have the best bike, as someone a few posts up rightly explained.

lol, ok, so we've already proved it's not the fastest bike on the grid and we know its far from being the most nimble on the grid - so what measure of 'best' are you using? Nicest colour?
I just checked MCN, for the speed trap figures from the last GP.
Guess what? You're wrong again.

(Just for a change. LMFAO! biggrin)

His biggest problem is that we've had loads like him before.

Few of them, however, change being very good, into all-time legends, as Rossi and Doohan have done.

So you're going to take the word of MCN over the official timing sheets? Comedy genius, sir!
Yes, okay, both publications i read are wrong and Stoner is one of a kind, with the worst bike.
Whatever you want to dream, matey. See it your way.

PS
Mamola and Doohan have both told me that they have Rossi as the best rider in the world, ever since the days of Roberts and Sheene and Rainey.

Indeedy, thus, he is far more consistent, to be so far ahead with no more wins.
Thanx for reminding me!

I noticed in MCN today, that after Stoner's sulk about Rossi at Laguna Seca, he's been just about dismantled, verbally, by bike race fans all over the UK and beyond.
It really is worth reading, some of it is very amusing as well as true!
biggrin
'Play Station Casey Moaner' was one gem.

BOT, Rossi looks good for another title.
On a slower bike, one which going by the graphs from Laguna, cannot be opened up as early as the Ducati out of turns.
