Well I love to read all the threads on here and enjoy the new purchases of bikes from PH members including pics. lick

I am at the point where I want to add a sports bike to my ZRX1100 which I enjoy doing the twisty bits with and the bottom end grunt pulling around traffic but it's knee down time.

So.....What is the best all round sports bike? I have done some time on a ZX10R and it had no bottom end grunt pulling out of bends but yee haa in the power band. Handling was kewl and light. R1's seem to fit me a bit better so over to you guys.

Call me old fashioned but I like a bike that has bottom end grunt to pull out of the bend without being on the power band that will spit you off at the slightest twist of the throttle. That’s why I love 1000cc plus bikes. Big torque to get going and loads of yee-haa when you want it.

From the thread and thanks for all your comments, it looks like the R1 takes it! I must admit the ZX10R was mental but I was shouting out at it when I was trying low revs grunt through bends, it was flat as hell. It's not all about screaming down the road and being on the edge of spinning out for me.

At the end of the day we are riding on roads and not a race track and I just want a bike that has the grunt to drop into a bend and drag your boots off out of it (which the ZRX1100 has) but with the handling of a modern sports bike where you can scuff your elbows with confidence.

The Duce seems to have the grunt and yee haa and handling but the price for that is too high for me.

So do I go R1, GSXR or Blade? Oh bugger!

Mark.
