I have an XB12R Firebolt which I ride infrequently and have only racked up 1200 miles so far. To me it seems a bit hesitant and jerky at lower speeds in second gear which can be irritating and for an oldie like me a bit scary in slower roundabouts.

At first I thought the engine needed to free up a bit, is 1200 miles too little?

Or do I have a breathing problem - on a Ducati I had the same issue and had to rip off the horrible Weber and put on Dellortos and an open pair of Conti exhausts to cure it. Is there a fix with a new chip or exhaust?

Or do I have to live with it?

Thanks - looked at the Buell forums and seems it's a 'feature' and something I should live with and/or can be made better with dealer fiddling. I'll try going faster too.
