i have just bought one and im looking to convert it to a supermoto as i plan on riding mainly on road.

Right my question - What needs doing and what are the costs associated with the conversion? (where i can get these things from would also help)

I have been looking into it myself and have found this.

- 17" wheels and tyres £500
- 320mm front disk £100
- extension bracket for new disk £50
- Rear Sproket not sure on price

What else should i be budgeting for?

Also on a childish note i know the bike shifts off road but with the new sprokets to change the gear ratio how quick would it be on the roads>?

All help would be great

You can pick 'em up from e-bay or on the various SM forums used or http://www.roostracing.co.uk/supermoto.php is very good, too.

I also ran mine with a full Doma system, which gave good power and wasn't ear-splittingly loud. Get it set-up on a dyno, though, trial and error with the jets is fiddly stuff and never seems quite right - no matter what someone else's bike seems to like.

Don't expect masses of pub-ammo power. The 525 is more about torque and rideability.

A good mod, if you going to commute on it (apart from an Almax IV chain and top-drawer Squire lock), is an aftermarket KTM fan.
