Its fairly self explanatory ...

A bike has no weight so it's not truly quick. Put it this way, if any of my cars, even my lowly volvo estate was as light as a bike then it would SMOKE any motorcycle you care to name. Bikes are also very cheap. For the price of a GT3RS you could buy 15 of the best ones that have ever been made.

It always makes me laugh when bikers on the Motorway in the fast lane hold you up but then they give it johnny big balls and shoot off into the horizon and you are supposed to be impressed in some way. Well, if the bike had a TANK attached to its rear mudguard then yes it would be impressive. Look at it this way... if you strapped a 650bhp Chevy V8 onto the back of a wasp, no speed that it did would be impressive. If it got to mars and back in under an hour i'd still be pretty noncholant.

So the message is.... don't sit in the fast lane. Always pull over and make use of all 3 lanes, no matter what you are driving/riding. And when you get onto the country lanes, bikes should indicate left and keep left because on the brakes and round the corners a car will sonner or later come past at Mach 9

Oh, la-di-dah! Look what I found in my laundry bag! All of Felicity Kendal's underwear
I worked with her son once.. few years back now. He had a weird voice and wouldn't shut up most of the time.

Don't be daft, you're comparing full on race bikes with a Radical!!

Radical came up on this thread because they, along with Caterhams etc, and conceptually similar to a road superbike. Superstock times are in the 50s around Brands.... Formula Fords, with no aero and a Fiesta engine, are in the 48s, and the new Mondeo engined ones are in the 46s.

exactly

A boggo caterham R400 will lick nearly every road going superbike you care to throw at it ... let alone a radical !!

Off the circuit and back on the road you have to throw in manhole covers, potholes, nasty camber and all sorts of ills and the bike is even slower still. On the brakes you have to have to be absolutely godlike to exploit the bikes true braking potential and this is where the Volvo estate with 2 washing machines in the boot is mighty.

If you want to get into Race bike times then radicals don't have any meaning anymore, post up some F1 or DTM times instead or as Rob said even some basic single seater times.

.
there isnt a hope in hell it will keep with 99% of most big bikes in normal road situation.
Any bike with a washing machine strapped to its rear fender is going nowhere fast

even if you could gaffer tape it securely it probably wouldn't even make it off the driveway ... there's just no comparison.
