Exhaust changes completed today (amazing sounds)
Discussion
Well,as you are aware, i had a sleeved exhaust and was getting pretty fed up with it,so a post on here got Phil from Salisbury(thanks again Phil) to call round and do a swop, so i got the standard system back on.
Added to that, and advise taken from various PH's(cheers Daz for pics and vids), as to which was the best way to achieve the correct exhaust sound,(Precats out, decat Y piece and standard system was the overall agreement)i contacted Clive and he sent me one of his beautiful Y pieces
All was fitted this morning, and to say i am over the moon is an understatement
The sound is amazing, and i must say the car is vastly improved on the revs, the accelerator feels so light and responsive

Fitting Megasquirt to mine and was thinking of removing the cats. Is there any problem with emmissions or do I have to Find a "friendly" MOT station?
Where can I obtain a plain Y piece without the cat so I can retain the original cat for MOTs if I need to?

... they even offered to pay for it!
(I suspect that they don't want the neighbours twitching curtains when I turn up there again... )

Sounds nice mate ,i might swop mine for the clives Y piece when one turns up second hand ..better than the ACT Y piece but alot cheaper..
Not like me to follow advise, but thanks to you and Dave.....i am so made up with the finished product!!!I would have thought even second hand, you will get a fair chunk of your money back for the ACT piece?

That's why I never answer questions after a few drinks.
If you must say something say, "it was just a couple of gaskets", followed by an explanation of what gaskets are!
Come on then what meet shall we suggest to stop over in 2012,please note I am from Halifax, although distance isn't really an issue...unless its bloody Monaco!?If you must say something say, "it was just a couple of gaskets", followed by an explanation of what gaskets are!
Oh by the way not one to brag but just landed in TENERIFE for XMAS....enjoy!!!!

After all this posting,i've decided i like the standard system, pre cats out and standard Y piece.
Sounds boring, but i have now tried near enough all ways of changing exhaust sound/system.
Clive
The Y piece is the best, but i have done approx 300 miles and want to revert back so shes up for sale on PH
