Right, I believe this to be the 'Modified Chimaera Club'. Its founding member (if he'll accept the honour) is quoted as saying 'The first rule of the MCC is we dont talk to Griffers about MCC. Not for the cars with levens stalks and act induction kits only. For the nuttier owner who has took it to another level'.

Right, before we get too obsessed with horse power and whats a project and what isn't, I'd like to quote the words of our founder....

In my humble (somewhat self appointed) role as MCC Mod, I would suggest that the 'other level' our esteemed founder refers to is anything North of 300bhp. Naturally I stand to be corrected. Talking personally, North of 350 would still count me in

everyone now a days is obsessed with BHP, too many episodes of Top Gear I think, we should sort some track days next year and see who can win with some corners thrown in

6 years ago when I first had a griff anything north of 300bhp was considered a monster, so to get a naturally aspirated rv8 with 330 to 350 bhp was quite an achievement, nowadays with more people being interested in modifying their engines these outputs are quite commonplace, so an elite club should be for engines with 360+??

This has made me think, perhaps we should have different classes of membership, for example:

1 Less than 320 bhp but has some other redeeming attribute worthy of note (like VERY worthy)
2 320 - 350 bhp
3 351 - 399 bhp
4 400 and up

These could further be descibed as:

1 - honourary member/trainee nutter
2 - Nutter
3 - Total Nutter
4 - Complete Fe**ing Nutter

Or something similar

I know only too well how the journey begins down the slippery slope of [mass]modification, that so often begins with nothing more than a chromed tail pipe cover, or the polishing of a bolt head.

I have several times experienced first hand the destruction caused by putting too many horses in too small a corral.
