How to access bolt to gearbox remote linkage mechanism?

Does anyone who has removed a gearbox or engine know how to get to the front bolt for the gearbox remote linkage mechanism? I'm hoping the engine or at best gearbox will not have to be removed.

My gear leaver on my Chimaera went limp on the way home yesterday. Further investigation this morning shows the bolt for the front linkage has gone resulting in no reverse or limited gear selection.

Cheers Paul. I've gone the easy route and dismantled the middle consul.
Can you tell me does the bolt connect to a bracket mounted to the engine/gearbox?

Before I attempt this is there any other way of attacking the problem apart from Paul's description above?
