As title.

I really must get rid of the standard seats!

I'm 6'-3" tall, normal build and I find even for road work these seats severely lacking.

They have little or no lateral support, the seat base is springy, the seat back short and the headrest position a joke.

Chim and griff seats need to be narrow at the base that's why I am told, the MX5 seats will fit

Sooo, your feedback and a few piccies would be appreciated.

I still reckon for track use, I will bolt as Elise seat in place.

If your wondering why I don't fit a pair of Elise seats in as a permanent fix, well me wife thinks that the standard seats are so much more comfortable then the Elise seats in my old chim!

Thanks for that Daz.

Do you know who's car that is?

I'm guessing that they might be a tad short in the back as I'm not!

It would be good to try a pair, I suppose I could just sit in a MiXer scratchchin

With standard seats and no crash helmet, my hair skims the roof so helmet on is a non starter!

Very old picture at one of my first TDs with standard seat giving a Noddy appearance!

Newly acquired today, thanks Iansmile.

Complete with runners from an Elise 111S.

I have the choice of the higher or lower seat mount and runners as for some reason only known to Loti owners they fit both!

I'll fit the lower ones to the drivers seat for max headroom.

Black seat is chopped about very old Elise seat that I bolted in for the last TD.

These seats are superb on the track and this model has the extra bum padding, probably the "Lotus Touring" spec laugh

As for the colour, I might have a go at dyeing them, interior is dark blue and cream, not exactly a match!

They will go but I may need dome professional work on these Lotus ones first.

You'll be the first to ask.

Bugger! Now I can't drive it
I did try and fit it with the Lotus runners but it raises the seat by a tad, a tad too much!

We'll see, I need to take them to my upholsterer pal for a look see.

I must sit in those seats next time we meet up Pete. Looking at them in these pics, they seem to have very little side/slide support?
Deceptive.

I just took my black Elise seat out and went for a country lane drive with the standard seats.

I absolutely HATE the standard seats! No centre of the back support, too high, bouncy like a bouncy thing and you slide off the sides worse then just about any car I've driven mad

I'm really tempted to slot in the old mismatched Elise seat just for the better experience.

There are those that think the seat is fine but honestly, it's rubbish!

An Elise seat weighs a fraction of a chim seat!
