My car is in Surface and Design for repair work due to a little mishap.
Ive bit the bullet and am paying a tidy sum to upgrade the work.

Part of the deal includes ditching my worn out original headlights and fitting Lupos.
David (S&D) suggested fitting the new Lupos, blending into the wings, filling holes and not bothering with the old bezels. He has suggested this a few times but others always opted to have the bezels replaced. I always thought thes were ill fitted and think the look could work well and neaten up the front somewhat.

Thoughts please. Works crackin on.

Think they could get the beam to sit right if the angle has to be changed on the light?

Careful not to make it look like the crosseyed Morgan
His exact words were 'i promise i wont turn it into an Aero 8'

Ive given the go ahead.
Its the cheaper option anyway. Saves a little on reworking the old bezels to the new lights.
Hopefully the car will be on the power tour in 4 and half weeks so can be seen then. I will be at Shakey on 24th/25th

I'm all for it then, I was thinking of some thing similar with mini/beetle (new shape) lights

Looking forward to this
Ive never been one to worry too much about the aesthetics but since i am getting a full respray i may as well make the most of it.
With the Lupos and a new windscreen i might be able to see where i am going and wont be hitting so many rocks in the road in future rolleyes

does this mean the race numbers will NOT be going back on.
No numbers or stripes etc until the paint is totally cured and hardened.
Besides be a shame not to show it off at its best

Nice ,what covers the gap around the edge of the light .. I spoke to a guy who owns concept performance,he said it would be better to make a new cowl from scartch ..
All i know is they said it was a lot of work and took twice as long as they quoted me. I get to see the car in the flesh when i pick it up Friday. Looking forward to seeing the detail up close
