After owning a Chim for a year I have decided to move on to a Tamora.I love the Chim but my heart is set on a Tamora.Done 6k faultless miles in the chim over the last year and loved every minute.
Going to view a couple on Saturday at Tony gilberts hoping to p/x the Chim if I get a good offer on it.Has anybody else on here gone from a chim to a Tamora or Tamora to a Chim.If so how do you compare the driving experience.

Cheers Mart

I had a test drive in one last year but around villages so couldn't take it over 4k revs.Which i've been told is where they come to life.

Decided to keep the Chim,i keep looking at it and thinking I must be mad to get rid of it.If I didn't get on with a Tamora,i would be hard pushed to find another Chim in as good condition as mine, for the money I was going to let it go for.So its a keeper. Thanks for all the input guys.

[quote=phazed]Just a note for the future if you want a little more speed then that's entirely possible.

A few years ago on track, my tweaked 5.0 chim was practically identical performance as a mates T350 4.0RR.

Different delivery but similar outcome.[/quote

I was speaking to a guy from Zimotorsport(cant do links) today.Seems to know his stuff,he loves TVRs,his sister had a Griff.Told him what I was after and he told me to book the car in.Put it on the rolling road and he will tweek the ecu or put an aftermarket one in.Also he would do a full geo set up while it was there.Seems a good start I think.

Hi Steve,i would love a Tam but I don't think a decent Tam is worth £10k more than a decent Chim.So im going to try and refrain from dipping into my watch and car pot this year and maybe buy one next year and keep the Chimsmile

If you're N Wales-ish, this weekend at Ty Croes, the TVR Speed Champs are performing and free entry for all TVRCC members (are u 1?).

Just suggesting as I'll be there watching in my Tam on Sat?

Loads of different Tivs sprinting around the track - and a 2-lap track drive each day?
