I am considering changing the colour of my seats/dash to something a bit less gloomy. It is currently all dark blue but i am thinking of maybe 2-tone blue cream like i ad in my old range rover just to give it a bit of a lift
What i currently have

Maybe something like this

and also split up the dash to match??

Has anyone used the leather dye stuff i have seen on ebay and if so what were the results like?
Thanks in advance
Paul

Cheers Milkybeer, yep its certainly BLUE!! car was originally purple but now its dark blue but i think it too much hence wanting to brighten things up a bit. Just got to decide how to do it. Carpets are faded too so maybe a change there too??

Thanks mate, good suggestion. the carpet bits in my door cards are very faded and discoloured (as you can see in the pic) so i will probably follow your advice beer

If i went for the 2 tone effect like in my first post i would probably go with the following-

Seats- Cream outer-blue centre
trans tunnel main cream-bolsters blue
dash lower blue-top cream
door cards blue-inlays cream suede
carpets re-dyed blue with cream overmats

may try an attempt with photoshop or similar to see how it will look scratchchin

Cheers Rib, i do prefer the 2 tone. Just got to decide on the colours. Maybe considering a respray at a later date so will need to decide on a scheme that will all go together if i change the exterior idea

Will have a word with him when he comes. He is due next week. To be honest i think i would go for black carpets and maybe black/cream leather. That way if i do ever change the exterior colour then it will go with anything?

I have finally made a start on my interior. Got some carpet dye stuff from the Autosmart van (think they call it midnite?) so the carpets will be going black. Just got to decide on interior colours now. One thing i noticed was that when i removed the door card it said "Blue Vinyl" on the inside, will the furniture clinic stuff work on vinyl, or is it just for leather?
Also on the drivers side panel there has been a repair done to the vinyl (not very well) is there a way to repair/fill the damage before re-dying?
I will try to get some pictures up

Luckily i have 2 sets of floor mats, here you can see how much the top ones have faded compared to the ones that have been covered all their lives

this is the damage that has been bodged on the drivers door

and this is the factory writing that confirms i have vinyl rather than leather on the door cards frown

Thanks for the info guys. I will get in touch with Furniture Clinic and get their advice, only want to do the job once!!. I already have a compressor so that's one thing less to buy
Called in at the local Dunelm Mills last night to try and find some suitable material for the infills on the doors (pref. Alcantara type material?) but they didn't have anything other than cloth frown
