Thanks very much guys. I do indeed mean between wheel and hub and so phillpot's link is perfect. I also figured that 4mm was pretty much the limit with the standard studs, together with my specialist who 'diagnosed' the same. This will bring the offset pretty much back to standard for my my RS Diamond Cuts.

4x108 hubcentric ones with a 65mm centre bore are what you want, hubcentric ones have a lip on the centre bore as this is what holds the weight of the car. You shouldn't use the cheap flat ones as this means that the studs are taking the weight of the car, which they're not designed to do.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Maybe we're both idiots! I haven't measured the outstand of the existing hub but from memory it's greater than 10mm, maybe 12mm or so. (I'm sure someone here can confirm.) In which case a 10mm hubcentric spacer wouldn't sit flush to the hub either.

They're tapered down on the inside, I couldn't figure it out either until they turned up. I thought that I took some photos of them but can't see them on my phone, found one of the centre bore size of imolas though..
Still being an idiot this end as I can't see the taper in my mind. Does this mean they're a larger diameter on the side that mates with the hub, then tapering 'down' onto the hub as they near the outside face?
