Meta Alarm/Mobilizer

Re the standard fit Meta alarm/mobilizer.

I've read lots of posts about TVR not wiring these in correctly which causes reliability issues as the cars get older.

I just wonder whether this ever got fixed on the Chimaera and if so, what year?

Thanks for the replies.

I was hoping that it might have been fixed for later Chimaeras - mine's a year 2000 - but seems not.

Do most people just fit a new Meta or are there other recommendations?

FYI, my last Chim had a mix of Meta alarm and Cobra immobilizer ......

Touching wood, my system seems to be working correctly at this time but is now 14 years old and as I was thinking of adding remote boot opening wanted to know first whether the wiring issue had been fixed and hence long term reliability improved (but clearly not) as this would help decide on whether to mod the current system or just replace the lot....

May hold off for a while yet .......
