Replaced squeally water pump today. Torqued up the housing nuts
to what it says in the book. Stood back to admire my handiwork.
Gave myself a pat on the back. I was on the home straight -or so I thought.
Filled up with coolant then noticed a leak.
I'm now struggling to get a good seal where the water pump hose joins
the metal t-piece. I'm using a sparkly new jubilee clip but it makes
no difference. This t-piece has seen better days to be honest. I'd
happily replace it but I suspect it's unique to the car.
Anyone got any good ideas about getting a good join?
Thanks chaps
Dave

There's a ratchet strap trying to pull the water pump hose onto
the metal pipe. There's no leak from the housing itself.
I've just found a stainless steel replacement on line so if I cant get a good
seal I'll be raiding my piggybank again

Thanks Ian, I just assumed it was the same both ends!
I'll swap it round.
The strap just holds the pipe on while I tighten the jubilee clip
