Misfire when cold

Well here we go, my first TVR and my first problem!

I started the car from cold this weekend, and it was misfiring and sounded awful. I let it run for a few minutes and it eventually return to the usual V8 burble. I shut the engine off and started it again, but this time it fired up perfectly and ran like a dream.

Later in the weekend having left the car overnight again, I started her up and had the same misfire. Again this disappeared after the engine warmed a little and even after leaving the car for a few hours, it started fine.

Any one have any ideas what could be causing this?
