2015 Forced Induction meet plus guests
Discussion
Blokes, since there has been much talk of a FI meet I have been informed by DBV8 that there is a RWYB meet at Shakespeare Raceway on Sat' 18-4-15. They advertise to facilitate club meets for the weekend as I read it, so if there is sufficient interest should we enquire further? Stay over? Obviously non-FI cars welcome and it would be an early date to aim for and a chance to catch up, have a chat, look, admire, race each other off the line and generally take the piss. Anyone up for it?
Posted here as Chimaeras seem to be at forefront for this kind of thing, though if any Griffs, Cerbs', Tuscans, Sags' etc think there're hard enough,,, then you'd be more than welcome.
Thoughts?

Be great to see the awesome Cerbera there Tim. We already agreed that nitrous is a form of forced induction anyway.
All cars FI or otherwise are very welcome. Looks like we may have a great turnout.
Cool - that will give me a date to work to for the remaining work I need to crack on with (to achieve perfection). New clutch seals, front ohlins cut down, new wheels and tyres, remapped, NOS updates and me to lose a stone. I think the last one will be the hardest to achieve! All cars FI or otherwise are very welcome. Looks like we may have a great turnout.
I will be running just a 175bhp shot not the 250bhp shot so should be around 600bhp ish once the work is finished (hard to get a reliable bhp with nos and very wide tyres on rollers).

Was speaking to the official photographer yesterday. She said if we let her know how many of us are going she will cordon off an area for us so that we can all park up and camp.
Excellent, We'll try and put some numbers together? Could do with posting on other forums in some way without it getting banned Shameless bump;
Obviously as Derek has pointed out we don't want to have this put into the events forum and disappear forever, nor can we cross-post on to other sections as it would be locked. So, an attempt to keep going and ask everyone to spread the word as it were to other sections.
Nothing serious, just get together for a few beers

I have some daft questions having never been to one of these events. Do I need to do anything to the car to pass any scrutineering and do I need to buy a crash helmet or any other safety gear?
Looking forward to having a go and meeting some of the people who contribute to this forum.
Hi Mark, don't know that much TBH and your questions are not daft but make sure you have no fluid leaks, no loose belt bits flapping around, bring a crash helmet and your driving licence.Looking forward to having a go and meeting some of the people who contribute to this forum.
Oh, and beer! [for after, not during of course]
Shameless bump to keep interest up
though at this rate with me still waiting for my bellhousing then fabricate gearbox mount, then measure for new propshaft
I could be running in my turbo,,,,diesel,,,,,,,,,,,, astravan!!!!
But I will be there, if only to dance with Daz again

bump
Not long now guys and some realistic times are hoped for. Stock 500's are usually in the 13's and is not a slow car let's not forget. Keeping an eye on the weather with fingers firmly crossed. Hoping for a good turnout and would like to get more interest from other TVR quarters but I would have such a thread deleted/locked, so,,,, someone,,,
Where's Hoofa? and Sappa? seem absent lately. Some purposeful upgrades done by a few which will be interesting. Just hope mine will be back up and running in time along with Neals.

^^^^ on it
Though with past experience, the number that express interest v number that turn up can be different.
Saying that of course there seems to be a dependable usual contingent.
Should be good weather permitting.
plus, there's always
