How long have you had it?

So, that's it really, how long have you had your Chimaera?
Bought mine in July 1999 as a 5 year old '94' 4.0
It's seen a lot of changes, originally lived outside and was my only car but used as a weekend toy, then drafted into daily commuting duties, then lived out it's most recent years as a pampered garage queen.

Know the feeling, washed the car on Sunday and just sat in the garage looking at it, and remembering the good times we've had together, I thought after the chassis referb, because the the money I'd then sunk into the car it was going to be a 'forever' car but quite out the blue a new itch has surfaced.

Just been through my vast file of service history and since June 1999 it's relieved me of £22,000
£1375 a year doesn't sound quite as bad!
That's just service/maintenance not tax, insurance, petrol etc.
Worth every penny.

I figured any car is going to need tax/insurance/petrol so avoided doing the maths on those, add estimated depreciation and it's £5.50 a day.

I wish I hadn't got the calculator out now....just done 'cost per mile'...64p + petrol, insurance etc....
