So, that's it really, how long have you had your Chimaera?
Bought mine in July 1999 as a 5 year old '94' 4.0
It's seen a lot of changes, originally lived outside and was my only car but used as a weekend toy, then drafted into daily commuting duties, then lived out it's most recent years as a pampered garage queen.

With what I've spent over the years, engine rebuild, body off, suspension, lights, wheels.....etc, I thought the same until recently. wink

It's not sad. For some people it makes sense.
I was actually refering to the fact of finding a graph interesting, rather than SORNing a car sad. wink

No intent to sell, now a weekend and summer car. Just too many memories of days out and trips to say goodbye.
Know the feeling, washed the car on Sunday and just sat in the garage looking at it, and remembering the good times we've had together, I thought after the chassis referb, because the the money I'd then sunk into the car it was going to be a 'forever' car but quite out the blue a new itch has surfaced. wink

Just been through my vast file of service history and since June 1999 it's relieved me of £22,000 eek
£1375 a year doesn't sound quite as bad! paperbag
That's just service/maintenance not tax, insurance, petrol etc.
Worth every penny. driving

I figured any car is going to need tax/insurance/petrol so avoided doing the maths on those, add estimated depreciation and it's £5.50 a day. rofl
