Will it be sucking warm air in with those air filters ? It scares me eek
It not as good as getting them down the front but no room at all...the air goes through an intercooler and then water injection so will be fine by the time it gets to the engine.

You could have got the turbos level wink

Absolutely loopy; best thing built by a man in a shed for years! Doubt you'll have any air temperature issues with the filters there - mine is drawing from much the same location and is fine so far yes
Cheers pupp were both in the diy club..

And the turbos are like that for a reason you will see smile

Does it have traction control ?
It will have Daz, I plan to put racelogic on it but with all the bits its about 1.5k.

It has adjustable boost on the steering wheel so I can tame the beast until I save some pennies smile

Fired first turn of the key..running on an old 4.6 Map with exhaust only under the block hence the loudness. New exhaust to be made next week I hope smile

What water injection system are you using Neal? and on what basis does it inject? - seems like the perfect solution for the Turbo tho.
Cheers again thumbup

Nick - I'm running 2 Aquamist systems (not plumbed in yet fully) going to inject 1 x 0.5mm jet in each turbo (pre turbo) and 1 x 1mm jet in the inlet pipe just before the TB.

Had a single system when it was a rover engine and you could see the temps tumble when activated but it never got crazy hot with the big front mount intercooler anyway.

I have at last moved house so able to finish off the build. Just the exhaust to do now big thanks to Mac who has helped me yesterday to get almost all of it done. Just one more push and the car will be done smile

Is there a chance of the exhaust catching the chassis when the engine moves ?
Every chance lol

But will cross any problems when I have too...its definitely tight running the 6 speed gearbox size wise but I got to get 2 x 2.5" pipes down the side to not compromise the power.

Sssppgg had the same gearbox / pipe setup in his car and that was ok so fingers crossed smile
