Hi Gary, thanks, I should've said there are no instrument lights but there is full beam flash when ignition on as normal. Yeh, thought about my messing about and can't see anything damaged/un-plugged. All this work and still can't drive it weeping
Talking of clock, that only works now with key in ignition first click or more, it stops when key out weepingweeping

It's mk2 dash.
Boost gauge doesn't need a feed as it's a hose. I've just took the radio out to have a look at the switch, after seeing it don't fancy messing with it. Ribbon cable looks good.

Thanks for help guys, but still no good. Checked everything I can, just have to admit defeat [which I loathe] cancel MOT and take it somewhere.
Wouldn't be so bad but to make matters worse the 'Vito' has packed up too with what seems electrical fault of some sort. I hate electrics.
banghead
relay is ok but it doesn't click when switch operated [I'll have one more go tonight]

Ian [rosey] You are a gem!!!!!!!!!!
As I have taken out all of my dash both upper and lower, look at, inspect, drink beer, head in hands, car up on stands [again] checking earths, more beer etc, on your advice I decided to check all of the fuses again but through a volt meter as I couldn't see one blown by sight and there was the problem, A BLOODY FUSE! It had split/blown or whatever and I couldn't see it. [I know, should've gone to Specsavers] But there you have it, a fuse banghead
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
It goes for all of the helpful people trying to help. THAT for me is what PH is about.

Did you have the radio out while doing your most recent dashboard job? Without the comments about the ignition and the clock, the head and sidelights fault sounds like the ribbon cable has been knocked off the back of the light switch, or off the lights control box. In my car when I had that fault, it was mouse-shredding of the ribbon cable.

The clock sounds like it is wired to the wrong live feed. Ditto the headlamp flasher. I will check mine when I get home, but I always think of headlight flashers as being always on, and not wired through the headlight switch.
Hi Anthony and thanks, The clock is still a problem and will check again the wiring to it. wavey
