I don't mind them Dave. I prefer them to some of the botched Lupo conversions. Overall, I prefer Steve Edwards lights, with the black edge as they match the rear light design. But I do quite like the SP6 pods too, especially the removable ones... paperbag

But, if we were all the same and did nothing with our cars, this forum would pretty boring. I don't particularly want to make permenant alterations to the body that will drastically affect future values, so these seemed like a reasonable compromise.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that... I mean just look at the two birds QBee was eyeing-up at Silverstone wink

I know your joking. All part of the banter... If only TVR values were the same as the above! Every single one is a stunning car. Perhaps they should remove the spoked wheels on these classics and refit with 17" Azevs!? wink

Peter, I agree, smoked would look very good.

Good find, but I think these need to be blended into the wing permanently? It may be the the pods on the other thread were originally these and then modded to be a non-permenant fit?

Harumph... no longer on the car... gone back to standard for the mo... actually though am thinking of getting 911 calipers... with the rest of the 911 attached... wink
They do look nice. I've been fancying one for a while. A 3.8 Carrera 2 would fit the bill nicely. However, with all the concerns of cam bearings and bore scoring I think you need to be extra vigilant. TBH, these don't seem to be the type of cars you can just bolt together in your own garage without a more in depth mechanical knowledge and a few specialist tools. I could be wrong, but it looks like these engines require specialist attention. After reading the Porsche pages a few times, I've actually appreciated how straight forward and simple the TVR's are... even reliable!

They look the business, but a private sale requires bore inspections etc, which is potentially more expensive than a replacement cam and new outriggers wink
