I forgot to put these back on and the fuel rail blew 'blew' off. Luckily it was just ticking over on the drive as fuel was pissing everywhere. Live and learn...

I thought they were only intended to ensure the 'height' of the injectors was located right in the port to ensure optimum spray pattern; not to ensure fixation of the rail (it's bolted down after all)? Certainly TRE Performance who supplied my Green Giants advised that the original clips could be dispensed with (which is as well as they don't fit)... I modded and re-used the oem clips but not sure they do a lot - no problems however; the rail deffo has not blown off smile
Yeh def need those clips Gary if you push the inj's all the way into the intake with the rail bolted down the top of the injector O ring is just peeping out of the fuel rail eek

They'll be fine I as using stock hot-wire ones with these inj's previously they are stock EV1 style (the most common type) Sagem IIRC

Think EV1 describes the connector standard not the body dimensions - the GGs are EV1 standard but the bodies are wider than the Lucas green tops and the clips need paring to locate properly. When do you think you'll be up and running Simon, looking forward seeing what this one does smile
I know Gary I was just trying to draw a pic of the regular Bosch style injector, but know what you mean these for example still use the EV1 but different bodied for example
