Hi guys, I am an interloper from the Griff side!!

You may or may not know I developed a new dash design for my Griff last year and have since then helped a lot of Griff owners with this new design (now fondly known as 'Petes Dash'). I have been loaned a set of Mk.1 and 2 dash panels for a Chimaera, to carry out a design study. So just wondered if there would be any interest if I developed a new design for the Chimaera? Best regards, Pete

Hi guys, sorry for the delay in responding (have been very busy with business), and thank you for the response.

In answer to some of your questions:

1. Hi Magpies - Redesigning S1 dash - I have no plans at true moment, but would always try and help, where are you in the country?
2. Chuffmeister - Will post some pictures very soon. If you get the TVRCC Sprint magazine they ran a full article on my design last October issue. Essentially its a laminated design; aluminium backing layer with mechanical fixing studs mounted and a bonded front layer (4mm ply veneered in walnut or other wood type), or a decorative aluminium/stainless spun/swirl finish. In fact the design can cater for any type of front layer.
3. J&MS - once I make a study of the current TVR versions I can offer a solution to the light bar. As yet just making speculative enquiries
4. eff eff - one off in stainless, no problem as stated in 2 above the design can cater for whatever decorative layer you wish - see link to recent swirled aluminium dashboards done for Griff owners - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Hope that has been helpful. All the best, Pete

Hi Guys, many thanks for the interest and comments. Unfortunately to make 'special' one off variations will be very expensive, not only the time developing the 'special' variation CAD file but one-off laser cut panels. If there are enough people who want a variation, say the relocating of the indicator lights then it would be more cost effective. Please keep you interest coming as I will start a preliminary list soon with the interest form PH and TVRCC forum. All the best, Pete

Hi guys, many thanks of call the responses, have had a lot of interest on the TRVCC forum also. So, have decided to develop a CAD drawing of both Mk1 & 2 standard dash panels and lower switch/radio panel. Will work on this once the current batch of Griff dashboard are complete. Will keep you all posted. Sjall also start a list with all those who have stated an interest. Best regards, Pete

Hi Pete,
Put me down for a swirl finish Ali please.
How long before you are ready to supply.
Hi Sapper, thank you for your interest, will put your name onto the provisional list. In respect of how long before I am ready to supply; I will be able to give a better idea once the CAD files have been developed. I have this very morning passed over the Mk1 & 2 dash panels I have to a contact who is going to get the profiles laser scanned, this then produces the starting point for the CAD layout as the scan produces a DXF file which can be manipulated. Once the CAD files have been produced, a prototype panel run off to verify and then mounting brackets etc designed, I will have a much better idea. Will keep everyone posted. All the best, Pete
