New thread started as suggested £159, don't know about discounts, garages etc it's all new to me, I just happen to look on the MSV website.
My refreshed motor should be be nicely run in by then.

Anyone interested?

Thanks for sorting out the link Stewart, personally I need to get on an MSV day as I have some credit to use up with them before the end of the year. Plus I'm only about 15 miles from Bedford but about 90 from Snetterton so I make up the cost difference in fuel in any case.

I think I'll be ok with the noise limit as I have a pair of track cans, although I understand their effect is reduced somewhat with a supercharged engine, increased exhaust gas speed etc.

As this is my first time booking are there any tips for reserving a garage, establishing any sort of discount for numbers etc., any guidance much appreciated.

I had one of those "boxes" when they first came out in 2004, one of the best cars I ever had (for an allrounder anyway). See you there then!

TVR group booking registered with MSV but you'll need to book by the end of this week for a discount - 10% if 5 or more book, I've booked so just need another 4 !

Apparently they don't generally rent out garages at Bedford but will review nearer the time subject to size of the group, I'd say a garage would be useful at that time of the year!

It'll be tight Alun but if both Dom & I keep to my schedule it should be remapped (after full running in) at the end of the week before. I'll keep you posted with how it's going & pop in for a cuppa, if you'll have me!

I realise you've only just got back from your epic trip, but how's yours going?

Looking like motor will be properly run in but not remapped in time for Bedford unfortunately. Not sure if still to join in & manage with below expected performance or see if I can hold my booking over a couple of weeks to the next GT circuit day in November? It'll be a shorter day (daylight), and probably risky weather by then and don't yet know if transfer is possible this close to the day in any case without losing too much of my payment?

Any advice from previous experience appreciated, I'll call Bedford tomorrow in any case.

You may well be correct Ian, however I won't be collecting my car from Dom until Saturday and then need to do 1,000 miles running in for an oil & filter change before another 1,000 miles before remap. I will get the first 1,000 done inside a week but not the 2nd and return for remap, that is my limiting factor.

Even if I don't make it there to the track I'll still come and spectate so I'll see you all there in one way, shape or form!

Completely logical and understandable Peter, no suggestion of wussing. I've now collected door number backgrounds for next year and will bring them to Ally Pally if you're still going (thanks again to Anthony for the heads up!).

I'll be there to take part after all, unfortunately will still be (electronically) limited to 3750rpm but using the day as track experience and some extra running in miles before full remap, just hope I don't get in the way of too many others, I'll keep my eyes & ears open and my wits about me !
My rev limit should see me through the noise test ok thogh but I'll bring my track day cans with me in any case, if I don't need them someone else is more than welcome to them for the day.

See you there!

I'll be there just after 7.30, easy for me as I only live 20 minutes away. Thinking of fixing an appropriate sign to my rear end! See you all there.

I for one really enjoyed today, great to meet new faces. Thanks again to Dave for fixing my problem with brake lights thumbup. Somewhat frustrating with my rev limiter, but showed I should just be able to creep under the noise limit in the future (100.2 dbA & 3,600 rpm). Got another 120 miles or so knocked off my second phase of running in before full remap next week biggrin

Never mind Peter & Nick, there's always next time. It's certainly given me the taste for it although when I got home and said to SWMBO about looking forward to the next one she replied "what, another one! don't you think you've spent enough on that damn car recently" Not sure how she's going to take the news on my plans for next year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now lets see, 45 + TDs + sprints so say 50 @ average cost of a very minimum of £350 = £17,500.00.

In man maths that's hardly anything dear………………………………..
Absobloodylutely laugh

I've got the door number backgrounds for you for next year Peter if you're still up for it? I'll bring them along to Ally Pally if you're still going.
