Help needed from all the engine builders out there.

Oil pump priming ?

I've read posts, I've watched YouTube and I've done as I've been told but I still don't think I can get it to prime.
I have the tool (the one you remove the distributor for) to prime without cranking the engine but I expected to see oil coming out of the filter feed.

What am I doing or where am I going wrong ?

Please help, I'm so close to finishing this project and I'm desperate to get her on the road again.

I've opted for spends option, it meant taking less of the engine apart
