Had faultless use of my Chim for 18 months, I took for quick 30 mile spin yesterday but it started raining so I headed back home, On a roundabout it just died, ignition lights on but no life. I noticed straight away that the imobilisoer light was not on. I clicked the remote but instead of activating/deactivating the imobiliser on it's first click it locked/unlocked the doors/ alarm. So it looks like the imobiliser part is dead. The engine turns over fine but you cannot hear the pump priming. Looked at some old discussions and some say that the imobiliser can be by passed, any advice.

Afternoon, I was being a good boy, i had just entered the roundabout the surface was smooth...well as smooth as it can be in a TVR, low speed, no issues. I have checked the inertia switch just in case. My main issue is the imobiliser light not illuminating, but the alarm locking and unlocking as usual

Thanks for the info QBee, I have put my tools away for today, I am hoping that a pint will help me get over yesterday's trauma!
