My fans never cut in during the MOT test so it got a bit hot, how's the best way to check the fans, If I put a wire across the 2 wires that go to the otter switch will that make the fans work , excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong

If it is that the fans are knackered where is the best place to get new ones including after market jobbys.

Just managed to partly take fan housing off the radiator (can't get single bottom bolt) and have found that the fan has come off the motor shaft, tested motor on 12v battery and works fine, so no power to motor I'm guessing, have put fan back on motor shaft but just need a new circlip washer now to secure it , when I arc the 2 main wires to the otter switch together I can hear the relay clicking. Could it still be a fuse or is it more than likely the wiring between the otter switch and the fans, the fans are Spal ones

Just s though I had a problem with only one fan running, found the fan connectors badly corroded, might be worth checking them I replaced mine with some DTM connectors
Will try this too
