Best way and what to use to flush out a short engine?

Ok, Whilst an engine is out and on a stand, what is the best way to flush out the block and what is best to use in ensuring it is as clean as I can get it before reassembly?

you wont be able to flush out the engine while its assembled and I suggest you don't try, the best you can do is remove sump clean well make sure strainer is secure and clean and change oil and filter and thats it apart from cleaning the exterior

I was thinking he had removed everything from inside the block too that needs doing...

I have, just need to flush the block out with something that won't cause the liners to rust...
