Cant stand it no longer there coming out

When i started to rebuild my baby, for some unknown reason i left the pre-cats in,but did install Clives Y piece.
Ive changed to all variants on my last Chim, which are now all on Youtube, and told everyone best combo is,PRE CATS OUT,CLIVE OR ACT Y PIECE,AND STANDARD BACK BOX.
This was after i sleeved the standard system and left main and precats in..

This is Phil leaving with my sleeved exhaust fitted to his Chim (main and precats still in)

This was after i removed the main and precats and fitted Clives beautiful Y piece

Well, pre cats out, original Y piece decatted, and rear silencer still in tact.

So i am where i am,my question is,i know the job is a pain in the arse from past experience, has anyone come up with a less stressful of removing cats with manifolds still connected to the engine,i am fearing not

Firstly i sacrificed 17mm long socket, and cut a minimum 3mm strip out of its length, for the Lambda wires to pass through, then removed the sensors
I used a large lamp to help see down the manifold, its difficult if you dont
Well, all the negatives start when you have a drill in your hand, and you know once first bit of damage is done, there's no turning back.
Firstly i used a 300 x 15mm sds bit with drill on hammer, push as many holes in as you can, bearing in mind the angle you are going in at,you really dont get that many holes.
Then i used a long 10mm bar, and brayed the hell out of the cat, working from the centre out, dont be scared and be to gentle as you'll be there all day,the first cat i managed to get out in 20mins
After first lot of drilling
Dragging out the bits
Empty
The second took a little longer as it moved to the back of the manifold and i had to drag back to get at the bloody thing, thgis one came out in bits to start, then a large chunk.
ENSURE YOU MOVE THE LAMBDA SENSORS BEFORE DOING THIS FIRST,ITS NOT WORTH THE RISK FOR THE SAKE OF A 17MM SOCKET
A pile of old cat
I then removed any bits by hand, then vacuum both manifolds out with a narrow hoes on the vac,and thought i had got all the bits, but for piece of mind and stated the engine with Y still off,to my amazement a few bits flew around the garage,so be warned always start the engine so all bits are thrown out before you put Y back in

All cleaned up and cats now missing
Back together, just had to show off the fitting of the Clive F Y piece before i put the clamps back on
The results in my opinion are well worth the effort,it was like getting my old girl back(blue Chim),she felt as if she was let free nothing holding back, free reving, sounded awesome with much louder tones, and just brought a smile to my face all yesterday afternoon
Anyone holding back on doing these works, get on with it,its simple.
