House insurer is Aviva who said the claim had to go through the car insurer. After a heated discussion about the excess and an increased premium for the car insurance they said they would repay the excess. If the car had not been insured then they would have paid out.
Equity Red Star (Classicline) have agreed to me using my own choice of repairer (rather than theirs) so will be going to RT Racing, Sheffield next week to get the quote done.
Pretty much the same here. I'm using X Works to do the repairs. Simply a logistics thing.Equity Red Star (Classicline) have agreed to me using my own choice of repairer (rather than theirs) so will be going to RT Racing, Sheffield next week to get the quote done.
Went to see them this week and they had a Chimaera in that had just had a front end respray and they had done an excellent job.
I have the same insurance company,Classisline. My claim was passed to ERS and then the email came from some people at innovation group. Similar story as far a procedure for quote etc, but there the similarity stops.
They had the quote for a week and I emailed asking for progress report. Quote is with our engineers, a couple of days later they contacted the repairer X Works TVR and gave authorisation. Car has now been repaired and I will be collecting after Easter.
The delay was down to me, due to work it took me about 3 weeks to get a quote but in that time ERS asked me for an update.
Maybe I just got a good handler.
