Wiper Woe, No More!
Discussion
I had a good look yesterday and it is put together like this. The tube comes from the washer bottle and is split into two with a T piece within the bulkhead one tube to each wiper arm. The washer tubes are connected to the tubes on the wiper arms with a plastic connector housed in a rubber grommet. If the washer tube drops into the bulkhead (as in my case the n/s one)) you can access it via an inspection hole under the bulkhead just behind the bonnet catch. I had to pull the tube back through the hole then push a strong wire through the hole in the bulkhead to the inspection hole, tape the tube to the wire and then pull the tube back to it's hole in the bulkhead. So it is not a dash out job. The inspection hole is covered by a rubber flap which will require glueing back into position. Connectors are available from David Gerald at £1.61 each, they say the grommets are standard and are not stocked. Hope this is of some help to any of you that may get the same problem as on inspection it was obvious the connector had perished due to it being eleven years old.
