Dead Door Mirror!

Morning all,

This happened a couple of weeks ago, but I keep forgetting to fix it, until the next time I go to get in the car!

The button under the door mirror (driver's side) has stopped working. I'm hoping it's a loose connection.

So, to check, I'm guessing that I need to get in behind the glass. Question is, how do you get the mirror off? Bible mentions something about a little tab?? Can anyone explain a bit more clearly? Also, is this something I'll need to replace once I get the mirror off. Don't want to get it off, and then not be able to re-attach!

Lastly, is there anywhere else that the connection could have come loose?

It was intermittent, but has now died completely! I'm hoping the plug has just become detached behind the glass.

Many thanks Chimyellow. I shall give that a go - sounds fairly straightforward. Just have to see if the connection behind is simple too!
