Just thought I would say Hello - I have just bought a +4 Supersports!

My first Morgan - started looking for a 3 wheeler and end up deciding to plump for this instead.

So may I ask for forgiveness in advance for any numpty questions I ask.

Enjoying the experience?
Not actually collected the car yet. So not had a breakdown, or a leaky roof or had something fall off when going round a corner so this is probably as good as it gets!

I only started looking at the weekend and I was originally looking for a 3 wheeler. I did a bit of research and thought the +4 SS seemed like a good idea instead. Then realised they were limited in number, saw this one and pulled the trigger.

My last two new cars have been a TVR and a Bristol - so let's hope my curse doesn't strike a 3rd time.

Long drive home from Kent via Central London.

Really enjoyed it and it is certainly not like anything I have driven before.

Your car is gorgeous! Woof woof!

What's it like to drive? Could one use it as a daily driver? Tell us more!
Daily driver? maybe 10 years ago but I am a bit past it now.

it's a bit of an assault - great exhaust noise, wind rush every where, revs up to about 7.5K and gets decently quick in the upper range.

It's much better to drive with the roof off (even up the M1 yesterday) - it feels a bit enclosed with the roof off.

I use my 4/4 as a daily driver, its not a problem, although the supersport is a bit more hard core.
I really don't see why you couldn't use it as a daily driver. Fairly mundane mechanicals and the heater works, the late ones even have a heated windscreen. in the seventies I reckon you could have fitted a child on the shelf behind the seats as well. Definitely one in a carry cot.

I think it looks great with the roof off.

It really isn't. it's a complete shed.
It think it might actually have a brain - it works fine in a field or going to the tip and back, but nearly every time I have tried to go anywhere else it breaks down.

Keep the photos and experiences coming..... I'm close to getting one so am lapping up all things Morgan at the moment and enjoying your photos.

Where exactly are the heater controls?! Are they buried under the dash?
OK will do.

Re: the heater

There are two rotary dial on the dash (v. pic 2) one controls the fan and one controls the heat. There are some manual flaps under the dash apparently but I have not looked at them as it blows out hot air to the feet as it stands. There are no outlets above waist level from what I can tell. The windscreen has a heater element in it so that will take car of demise/defrost.
