Just bought an MGC, how do I make it handle?!

That's the question! I've not even picked it up yet but I'm determined to make it handle properly having done some racing its pretty essential as far as I'm concerned. The car is absolutely standard as far as I could tell so interested in any ideas or common fixes that anyone else out there have done.

Hi thanks for all the replies to the thread. Since buying the car have been knee deep in house renovations and only recently started getting the C project moving!

Unfortunately a bit of front end welding necessary before I could start thinking about performance parts but I've taken the engine and box out and decided whilst doing this to fit a lightened flywheel and uprated clutch. Then thinking of uprating the front anti-roll bar and fitting better shocks on the front. All of this stuff seems to be available from moss europe, is there anything wrong with their stuff or are there better parts available?
