Had a good chat today, just got to get the head off now! Been sat on the engine for 10 years i don't think it will come quietly ! hoping with Kent cam, weber 45 and Peters cylinder head it may make 130-140 BHP, when finances permit maybe a full tubular manifold and sports exhaust to finish it off. Not a power freek but after virtually nut and bolt rebuild 85 BHP seems a bit of a let down.

Got the head off last weekend , without too much sweat, (compressor and impact wrench helped!) looks ok to a complete novice. Will take to Peter Monday . Got cam and updated followers and pushrods. Waiting on carb. Just to decide what colour to spray car now. Was blue back in 1972! But my tvr is dark blue ..

found this, trophy blue, looks nice, but now not so sure,? not "special" enough, funny you mention Wedgewood blue, I wondered about a baby blue ? trying to find an image.

i'm liking the powder blue, very classic, also keeps the V5 as blue , the only thing is I bought full carpet set and seat covers with red piping ? not sure it will go as initially intended a red re-spray.
