1978 MGB R/B to C/B and Telescopic Dampers

So I recently bought a 1978 R/B MGB roadster and I'm looking to swap to C/B and also to lower to the C/B ride height as well as upgrading the dampers.

However I've seen on the item description of the GAZ damper kit I was looking at says not suitable for lowered vehicles? Any ideas why this is and what the best options are in my situation?

That was my thought too, I guess they're air springs and provide progressive damping. Don't think it will make too much difference with a 1inch lower indeed.

Did anyone convert to C/B from R/B including the lowered ride height? Just bought some 480lb springs from Moss, will see what kind of feel this gives
