Hi,

I posted a few months ago with some Radical questions and thy were gratefully answered, i was looking at grafting a body on a chassis etc for a championship.

After committee involvement........too boring to forward on really, im trying to gauge interest into Radical racers that would be interested in running a non radical championship, the NSSCC based at Croft. Currently the front runners are a Jade with a an Elise body on top, a handful of 280bhp Caterhams, a Lotus elan mod sports, Marcos GT etc lap times front runner 1.24 - Caterhams 1.26 if on slicks.

So basically if numbers for potential radicals, and other 'road' going sports racers, XTR2's, Spires were sought a better case there would be to allow then into the championship. There isnt a championships in the north of England that caters for these cars and considering there are two grids for each side of the championship the BCDF being more saloon based, it might be a good way of getting something together like SEMSEC or Castle Combe Gts.

Any feedback would be grateful.

Yeh well this is it, i asked....again....very diplomatically....and they said no! but this doesnt (in my mind) actually mean no, at the moment!!smile

They've got to move on and cater for the customer, lets face it if we dont turn up they dont have to run a championship generaly speaking, but if we dont have them we dont get out. I see the Knockhill racing club is allowing them to enter as well which is promising, but doesnt help with the NSSCC situation.

So is that a two so far then?!

1 x 15 min qualy + 2 x 15min + 1 lap race (average 16-17mins) roughly £300.

NSSCC are looking for ways to improve there 2015 championships.

I have suggested they let more aero cars in, at the moment there is a phobia towards radicals/spires/ sabres etc running in with the A1 classes, or in fact create a new class.

This has been suggested a few times as north of the border have a few guys with radicals, so looking for interested parties and numbers to get an idea.

Currently there is a Jade with an elise body on lapping in 1.23's when pushed, next in line would be caterhams with 280bhp and expensive duratecs doing 1.28-29's. So a big gap to fill which could easily be done with cars with aero kit. I'm going down the bike engined route and gaining speed with aero rather than throwing £'s at engines again to a primitive caterham design with not a lot of scope.

Just a heads up for a few to provide a case towards allowing this sort of car in, move the club into the future!
