I'm new to Radical and will most likely have a bunch of questions for the pro's in here.

First off, does anyone know this car? One of the last production 2012 cars, Dec build, delivered Feb 2013:

Previous owner's name: Kyri Antoniou
Any background on owner/car?

Also, other than the air jacks that come on this car, what do folks use to their lift cars?

Thanks!

Looks like Radical just sold it, so can't they answer whatever you want to know? - including its special and magical gel coat that is apparently white but looks amazingly like black (complete with yet another copy of ROC's 2010 colour scheme laugh )

A wonderful attempt at an informative and welcoming response to my very first post on this forum? Thank you.

Am I mistaken for asking these questions in what I thought represented an unbiased and well informed forum...??

For the record, yes it is the car from Radical, yes I have purchased it and yes it is being shipped to my home in the colonies (Canada)..

Never start a post with a lie Graham laugh

Wasn't intended to be grumpy .......... have you totally lost your sense of humour like the OP? That'll probably be an age thing and like me you would know biggrin No wonder Daniel Craig keeps getting the part.

What I meant was that as Radical only made it in Dec 12, delivered it in Feb 13 and appreciably less than two years later they have taken it back in and resold it, I think it highly likely indeed that they will know every who, what and when as far as any events or issues that it has occasioned over that short period are concerned, hence my suggestion that they be asked; personally I would have wished to know all of that (chapter and verse) before buying it, wouldn't you?

And if the jacks are staying on the car (and surely the fact that it is a 1340 suggests maximising PTW is certainly not a priority) why would one choose to frig about with QLs etc?
First off Trev, if I may call you Trev, never assume. It only serves to make an..... well I'm sure you know the rest! wink

Not sure why you continue to "assume" I haven't asked and received info about the car from Radical directly.... before I posed the same question here as a first post. I merely thought I might ask for unbiased intel in here... not this!

Also curious why you feel a need to apply the term "lie" to my question? Rather harsh and unnecessary.

Further, no loss of humour here. Perhaps I lack an appreciation to your use of that lowest form of humour.... sarcasm, as it applies to my sincere attempt for information.

Thanks for clearing this up Trev... yet again. tongue out

I wasn't, it was directed at BB with the usual tongue in cheek, but as you are clearly apparently rather a xxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxx xx xxx xxxx, I will edit my post accordingly to remove the lack of clarity for which I sincerely and ever so humbly apologise.

Grumpy and sarcastic, that'll do nicely, I'll happily settle for that.

Enjoy your car when it arrives.
Your apology however intended, is accepted with equal sincerity and humility, you xxxxx xxxxx xx xxxxxx. wink

With all this love and kisses I'm feeling quite emotional......
To add to Bert's ( quite correct ) longitudinal bit..
Run car up onto small wood bits if needed.
Lift front with low level jack.
Put axle stands under front. ( see note below )
Lift rear up with normal trolley jack - check the front is not moving off the axle stands as you lift.
Use rear axle stands
If you put the axle stands on the hubs watch out for metal to metal contact, damaging the threads...use a bit of rag etc.
Last but not least, if you plan to take the rear tray off do it FIRST, as it may foul the axle stands...

Hope that helps

love and kisses, david

Aw David, the emotional (and informational) outpouring is beyond my wildest expectations! smile

Trev and I just got off on the wrong foot, I expect in real life we'd have much in common! All good now.

Thanks for the additional feedback! Everything is being duly noted and emotions aside.... sincerely appreciated.

FYI I've been in direct communication with the original owner. He's also a newbie, who got his feet wet learning this car at track days under the care and maintenance of Radical UK for a total of 17 hours engine/chassis time. He plans to move on to racing in a larger displacement Radical.

Man hugs...
