Hi Guys,

I have gone back nearly 30 pages but can't see to come up with a relevant post (although i am sure there is one)

My drive unit seems to be leaking, i have heard this is a common problem but haven't heard what to do

I can't pinpoint where it is coming from as it is only doing it just after a run (or during) so i am thinking i pull the case apart and re-seat it, is this what i should be doing and if so what liguid gasket/sealant should i be using

I am also going to change the line to the diff coolers as this may also be part of the problem, i am not sure on age so will just do it anyway

anything else i should do?

Cheers
Beau

Thanks for that, i am replacing all the lines and resealing everything (except for the main gasket down the middle as i think it is beyond me)

Going to take the time to see what a ratio change does, the car came with 3 sets of ratios but it didn't come with the sockets to change them, i think the small one is 34mm but not sure what the other is (is it 42mm?)

Sorry, been meaning to say (this forum is so tumbleweed nowadays), according to what's in my Spares Box the impact sockets are 33 and 42mm.

Cheers

A common area for oil to leak is the large o-ring of the gear ratio cover plate.
I bought a new O ring from radical and it is at least 2 cm to long...... so i did the unthinkable and cut it and glued it together, i also made sure the join was at the top when i placed it all together again to stop the leaking and also ran a sealant around both sides of the cover, it is not what should have been done but it won't leak again (i hope)
