Hello to you all in the Radical forum.........
I currently race Supersport 600 bikes and i'm contemplating a change from racing bikes to racing cars and like the look of the Radical's. I've been quite successful with racing bikes with race and championship wins and take racing very seriously and will try to do the same in cars should i make the switch but realise ther will be a lot to learn.

What i'm trying to get an idea of is the costs involved for a season racing a Radical compared to the near 60k i spent last year on racing my bikes?

Is it possible to buy into a drive in a Radical if it was a enduro drive?

Can i pay a team to arrive and drive a car on a full test day etc to see how i go in car before taking the plunge of buying my own?

I have done a potential customer day with Radical but it was all over way to quick to get a good idea on the car and how i went in it.

Lots to think about and all views greatly accepted...........

Having looked in more depth at the various series that are out there for the Radicals i'm not sure where i'd like to be running but do knbow it won't be in an 8 but more than likely by virtue of cost an SR4.

I like the look of the Matadoor sponsored series but this looks like it excludes the 4 in favour of clubsports only unless i've got the wrong end of the stick. Mansol who seem to run this series seem to do an arrive and drive package for the series which i intend to enquire about this coming week.

Any details that anyone has on season costs for the series out there would be useful.

other questions for car racers..........

how often are you changing tyres on a radical?

can you insure a race car against total loss in a race?

Could i buy a radical and then get an established team to look after it on race day and prep between meetings?

as a ACU National licence holder with an large amount of race wins can i just apply for aa MSA licence and race in a car or do i need to do starter type courses to compete?
