F type R coupe
Discussion
My local dealer showed me round their demo car yesterday and it was all very nice. Then he started it up.
Holy mother of God.
Pop, bang, crackle. What a massive massive surprise that was. Well done Jaguar, if the car wasn't so beautiful from the rear end, the noise is excuse enough to buy it.
Anyway, I didn't have time to take it out. So what are they like to drive? I've read many reviews but real people's experience would be great. I'm thinking particularly about brakes (standard steel), gearchange (auto box doesn't fill me with hope), and how much of a hooligan it is (I'm assuming it isn't the most dynamically taut car in the world?).
Thanks!
And to those lucky enough to have cars coming soon, well done! Sell it to me in a year or two

I had a good look at the coupe yesterday. Whilst it is undeniably beautiful, the interior is a big let down with low rent plastics and cheap leather as standard. It will need some work with the options list to rectify that IMO.
I get what you mean. I got to the thick end of 100k on the configurator, steel brakes too.Much as I want one, that's too much for a Jaguar I think...
