I take it was just what you were looking for then?

Lovely cars. They're a well kept secret for those in the know wink
It is more than what i was looking for. It feels bloody quick! Drives spot on, going to book it in next week for a gearbox oil/filter change for piece of mind. Ive got a feeling this is a keeper. Will do a readers car thread when it stops raining and i can take some piccys.

When I bought my S-Type 4.2 V8 SE with only 14 miles on the clock I decided I would keep it for a long while, and had over 10 years of great motoring with it. Somewhat sad to see it depart recently after 128,000 miles. It was still going very well but has a few expensive items coming up.

I admit to wondering what the STR would be like, although 300 bhp seemed sufficient. Now I have an XF 5.0 V8 with 380 bhp I feel this is ample power!

What were these expensive items that were coming up? See if i can do anything to catch before they happen. Definately getting the gearbox oil changed as soon as possible.. The thought of that going bang and bankrupting me is not worth thinking about haha!
