I know this has been covered at some point previously but I can't find exactly the info I'm after!

I will soon be needing to purchase a infant car seat and I'd like to get something that will fit in the rear of my XKR. I do have the performance front seats if that makes any difference?

Help, I'm clueless. (Any other info on what the hell to do when you find yourself responsible for a small person also gratefully received smile

Cheers guys.

I will look at the Britax one and perhaps take my car along to one of those baby seat shop places or Halfords etc.......even the thought of having to do this feels bizarre!

Forward facing is probably better anyway with my driving.........;)

Cheers again guys.

This side facing idea looks interesting - is it easy (ish) to get it in&out from the rear?

Our other car is a Z4 so if we can't all fit into the XKR then I may as well have bought the F Type and accepted taking both cars!

Well this is turning out to be a pain in the arse!

Today I went to my local Jaguar dealership to pick up the XK infant carrier and guess what?

It doesn't ruddy well fit into the rear seats! Although you can physically get the thing into the back of the car, you can't really get to the belts to strap it in place and more importantly, you can't then put front passenger seat back in place even with it as far forward as it will go.

The darn thing appeared to be one of the standard Britax seats anyway rather than anything Jaguar specific.

I have complained to Jaguar UK about the situation but that's not really going to achieve anything!

The Britax Babysafe Sleeper appears to be the only possible option but that's probably only good for 6 months anyway.

Anyone else solved this problem?! It's a 62 plate XKR with performance seats.

Well I'm off to Mothercare after lunch, I believe they stock the Britax Babysafe Sleeper.

It does mean that we have to buy another seat for the Z4 but that will save having to remember to put the seat in the car I guess!

Is the Babysafe Sleeper easy enough (comparatively) to get in/out of the XK?

Irritatingly, Halfords, Mothercare and ToysRUs don't have this in stock. It's order only, because I have the performance seats in my car I'd have liked to have tried it out before buying.

Going to have to order it and hope it's ok!

Contemplating popping over to OPC Bristol now look at 991's - rather than wasting an entire day!
