I am getting itchy feet and looking to find out what these cars are worth these days.

I have an agreed valuation with Adrian Flux which I believe they base on current market values.

My car is outstanding for a 98 and less than 70K with a pile of receipts.
Its on the "show us your Jag thread"

I am in no hurry to sell it, like I was last time year when I sold it and bought it back 6 months later (How are you Lester ?).

I am just keen to know whether they are potentially going up in price, currently going up or are flatlining a bit.

Don't get me wrong I am no mercenary when it comes to price but would appreciate comments regarding the market.

Thanks

It still seems like a bit of a lottery, I guess if someone really wants one they would be willing to pay a decent price

It's a bit swings and roundabouts really regarding cost, you can pick them up for £2k but these need work, or there are some fine cherished examples around which can fetch £6 or £7k.
It's like any other car in this regard really.
The big job is timing chains which can be £1200.

i keep thinking about selling mine as i dont use it much less than 4,000 miles in 2 years, but i still quite like it :-) and ive got another xjr parked on the drive for spares!!!
Zippys was a really nice car, but im glad it went back to him. ( yes jeremy i am doing fine, i did text you back!)
the thing is, unless you get good money for them, whats the point of selling?
i was chuffed when the fuel prices :-)
Good to hear from you Lester.
Someone stopped me the other day after spotting mine and his words were "that's the business". Always nice to hear.
Just bought a new headlining from Jag headlinings .com, I reckon they are a bargain.
Gotta get round to fitting it in time for the Spring.
Itchy feet have gone away again ha ha ! There is just nothing else that looks this good or with this performance in the price range for me, looked at the S class, again, but the cost of suspension repairs pretty much writes them off for me..... Then I open the garage door and that big daft grin appears....

Hi,

I think that they are going up in value current agreed valuation with Adrian Flux Insurance last year was £12k, however they only agreed to £10k this year without a decent explanation despite the car still being pristine. They won’t be used again !

Mine is 98 x308 XJR, 75k miles, sadly and very possibly being sold soon !
