XF 2.2

Looking to buy an XF, Budget 12-13k, I've seen the other thread that se3 started, How does the 2.2 stand up to higher miles?
Can't decide whether to go for the 2.7/3.0 or the 2.2.
Part of me thinks the 2.2 isn't a "proper" Jag.
Not too worried about the fuel consumption.
Any advice appreciated.

Hope I didn't offend anybody with the 2.2 comment,I certainly didn't mean to.
Like you say it's perfectly acceptable, no doubt does the job very well,BUT I think I need something a bit special.
Will keep lookin at all the options.
