2013MY XF and XJ 3.0l TDV6 Recall

I've just received a recall letter for Jaguar to have the crankshaft speed sensor replaced. The recall code is J067 and states it is a voluntary safety related recall. In my view this should mandatory as the speed sensor failed in my XF whilst in the outside lane of a 5 lane motorway section. When you get a gearbox failure, DSC failure, quickly followed by engine failure in such a situation, it really does concetrate the mind somewhat. Anyway, if you have one of the above vehicles, get it checked, NOW.

I'm now onto the dealership that did the work, to try and get my money back, since it's now subject of a recall.

I went back to my local dealership, where I had the work done, and they immediately gave me my money back, so they're not all bad.

Great result, but shame you had to chase it so far up the chain.
